This year, Avondale University experienced an incredible fusion of nostalgia and community spirit as over 800 individuals converged at the Avondale University Church for Homecoming 2025. Alumni spanning generations came together to reconnect, reflecting the university's vibrant history during a weekend filled with camaraderie, celebration, and recognition of distinguished individuals who have made an impact within faith communities.

The event was graced by the presence of more than 300 alumni from honor years, including five from the class of 1955, showcasing the enduring ties that bind graduates to their alma mater. Recognizing Excellence: The Alumni Awards
Recognizing outstanding contributions to society and the church, the Alumni of the Year award was presented to Dr. Brendan Pratt, who has demonstrated remarkable leadership in his role as the president of the Australian Union Conference. His efforts focus on revitalizing faith communities in both secular and post-Christian contexts, underscoring Avondale's dedication to impactful leadership.
Similarly, Dr. Dawn Grant-Skiba was honored as Alumna of the Year for her unwavering commitment to equitable education for children with disabilities.
